I have two computers at home connected through a router. I can access the main computer by clicking my network places and clicking computers near me and logging in to the computer. I can view the printers and the scheduled tasks but not the hard drive. How can I do this?

Hello

Right click a folder or the top of the drive in Windows explorer and click Sharing, then enter a share name and this is it.

John

I am not sure what you mean by the top of the drive, and the only folders that are showing are printers and scheduled tasks and sharing is not an option. I want to be able to see the C: drive

John means that on machine A, open explorer, right click on C: drive, click on sharing. Click on New share box, and enter required sharename (eg, cdrive) as you want it to appear on Machine B. Ok it, and the share should now appear in My network places on Machine B. Repeat the process on Machine B to share its C: drive for machine A access.

If you use different logons/passwords to logon to the 2 machines, you will be prompted for a valid username/password when attempting to access shares. If both machines have all username/password combinations set up, you won't get this prompt.
