How do you take off the CTRL-ALT-DEL requirement when logging onto a server? I know that on proffesioanl OS you go to control panel-users. This icon is not present on servers.

By taking off the CTRL-ALT-DEL requirement are you prone to any security risks???

thanks

hi
When getting rid of the ctr alt del you are opening your server to a serious security risk.

I would strongly advise against it.
Hope this Helps

how would i get rid of it?

what specifically are the security risks?

thanks

Go to START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL. Then go to the Administrative tools folder. Select LOCAL SECURITY POLICY. Go to LOCAL POLICIES, then to SECURITY POLICIES. Double click DISABLE CTRL+ALT+DEL REQUIREMENT FOR LOGON. Select enable. Reboot. If you have any domain policies in place they may override this. James Collins
