How send file / upload some text ?

Hi, i looked in all books i have found ... But i cant find it. This is what i am looking for:

Well i try to program sn PERL programm which asks you, WHAT TEXT WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEND? and you write a text for example : Hello my name is Jana. And this text will be uploaded on my FTP under the name XXX.txt .

I do believe perl is able to do that! And also i believe here are some good programmers able to do that !

just gimme a hint pls
