Hi i have around 1300 access-list statement in a cisco 3550.

I have quite a big network, so can i know how many in total access-list a cisco 3550 can handle.

Is there any performance issue on cisco 3550?.

please help...thanks for any reply

1300 ??? that is huge...but do you see any performance issue's at the moment thats the question..if you don't see it, i suppose its ok..i idea is to look at a different network setup if you need to add more..

CCNA, CCNP..partly ;)

why do you have a 1300 line ACL?

sounds like you need to implement a firewall...

Hi Thanks for your reply everyone. Yes you are right i need a firewall to filter outgoing traffic.

Initially i plan to filter certain range of IP traffic going out using my core switch cisco 3550 and only allow certain range of ip address access internet that why i end up having a huge number of access list.

Now i'm using my firewall to filter my traffic.

Anyway Thanks again for your reply.
