At Windows NT to Access Rights for Report Service
I have to do the following steps

1-Start
2- program
3-Administrative Tools (Common), and then click User Manager

4-In the User Manager dialog box, click User Rights on the Policies menu. The User Rights Policy dialog box will appear.

5- In the User Rights Policy dialog box, select the Show Advanced User Rights check box and select Log on as a service from the Right drop-down list.

6- Click Add. The Add Users and Groups dialog box will appear. Click the Show Users button to show all the users. Select the desired user (i.e., the Logon Account for Report Services) and click OK.

Pleas advice how I can do this at windows 2000 server?

Best regards,

In 2000 and 2003 server it is now under Administrative Tools, Local Security Policy, then click on Local Policy and the User Rights Assignment is there.

right click "my computer", manage, select services and applications, services, open the service you wish to view, log on tab.

You should not have to do this with any service in 2000. If the system calls it, it will run with the system account which has full acess.

Start, Help. You'll be surprised what's there. A+/MCP/MCSE/MCDBA
