Same applications, two different systems. Both running Access 97 with SR2
On both systems/Applications , a combo box with dates created by code using the Date() function turns out different results.

On the first computer - the data is as designed. Date() = todays date, date()-1, yesterday, date()-2 .......date()-n. This returns a sequence of dates i.e. 08/26/2003,08/25/2003,08/24/2003,08/23/2003....and so forth.

On the second computer, with the same code, the date comes out 8/26/03,8/25/03,8/24/03.......

Why? Anybody know. I know there is an "auto correcting" mechanism in office products, but does anyone know how to turn it off.

thanks

The default date formats are set for each individal workstation. These settings are in the Control Panel under "Regional Settings". If you specified the format via the Format() function, you can force whatever format you want and ensure that the output is the same, regardless of the regional settings.
