Hi all you Crystal Reports Gurus!
I'd like to find out how you specify Tabloid sized paper using landscape orientation in a Crystal Report that's deployed a web site using the Crystal Reports ActiveX viewer. In my company, we were once able to do this but can't seem to now.
In the past, when designing a report, we set it up to use Tabloid paper. It would print fine from the Crystal Reports application. We would then post it on our internal web site where users could print it in the same Tabloid size and orientation we specified.
NOW THATS CHANGED -- Reports viewed on our site through the ActiveX viewer limit paper size to 8.5x11/Letter size paper. Obviously, this isn't suitable for a report designed for the real estate of Tabloid paper. Several columns are truncated.
I thought that maybe this was because my computer's default printer was set to 8.5x11. To test this, I closed the CR ActiveX viewer, changed my default printer to one with Tabloid as a default paper size, then re-opened the report. It still previewed as 8.5x11 landscape. Even when I printed it, it came out on the Tabloid paper, but its margins were restricted to an 8.5x11 paper size.
Did I overlooked something here? Isn't paper size saved as part of the report? Does anyone have any common sense tips I might have overlooked?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
-Chris
