Hi,

I’ve created a query that allows me to print report 1. Report 1 lists a number of records along with the sum of one field at the bottom of the report.

I also created report 2 based not on the query but on the values in form fields. I would like to use the summed field value (present in report 1) in report 2. As of yet I haven’t found how to do it. I’ve tried referencing the summed value in the query and in report 1 without any good result.

Is it possible to reference a value in one report and have it displayed in another report?

Hi

If Report1 is open at the time, you may be able to do it with Reports!rpt1!TotalField type syntax, using your own control and report names of course, not sure have not tried it, it is a guess

I just did a quick test on Ken's idea and it worked fine as long as Report1 was open. You should also be able to use a DSum function to get the values you want out of the query.
=DSum("[FieldInQuery]","QueryName","CriteriaHereIfNeeded")
