I have a main form with options to bring up other forms with control buttons. Once a control button is pressed I need them to be closed before they can go back to the main form. Right now you are able to open a sub form and on the same screen pick off of the main form putting the opened sub form behind the main screen. This is creating problems with the updates on the table. How do I make sure that a sub form is closed before they can go back to the main form?

Thanks
Paul

How are the other forms open ?
If you use the DoCmd.OpenForm method then try acDialog as 6th argument.

Hope This Helps, PH.

The main form is opened from a short cut on the desktop. I don't know anyhting about the coding. So is there a remedial way to force a subform to close before being able to go back to the main form? If have very little advanced skill with Access 2003.

Thanks
Paul

I'll give it a shot if you can tell me what it is and how to do it.

Thanks Paul

I looked it up and tried it. That's what I needed. Thanks so much.
