I am trying to use the CREATE VIEW command to create a view in an Access Database. I have a couple of books and have been using them as a guide, but it doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?? Thank you in advance.

In Access you would create a querydef instead of creating a view.

But if you are linked to an Oracle DB or another DB that uses views, then you can create a pass-through query that bypasses the JET Engine and goes straight to the underlying DB. Then you can use the Create View syntax.

Hi tekhelpneeded

The SQL CREATE VIEW - isn't used in access as far as I know. It is for use on real dbs only!

Give a few details of what you are trying to do - and we might be able to give an 'access' solution.
