I am trying to automate a task where I can create a line and apply formatting to it and have it automatically apply.

Have a good day

This is possible through applescripting BUT I don't knoe applescript.

What? Can you be a little more specific? Do you mean a graphic line or line of text?

Duncan

Yes I mean a graphic line. I want to format it with a thicker point and change the color.

other than Applescript... you can force a default style by double-clicking on the arrow and changing the settings there. Whenever an arrow is drawn from that point onwards it will have the style you require. You can also stop the tool changing back to the top each time you draw a line by 'option-clicking' the line tool. But this is probably not what you require...

Hi precie

Someone - maybe yourself - was kind enough to give me a star. Did this work for you? I hope so...

Cheers
Duncan

Duncan,
Yes it did but I guess I was expecting Quark to create actions like Adobe. Or maybe my ver 4.1 is too old better upgrade to 6.
Thanks
