I want to add icons for netscape and other apps to my desktop.. how do you do that in gnome?? Thanks

Hi,

It all depends whether its 1.4 with nautilus or not. If so, you just use nautilus itself to put items in the desktop folder. See --> . Otherwise, from memory, I think you just right-click on the desktop and choose 'add launcher' or suchlike.

Hope this helps

In gnome there is no option to right click on the desktop and I looked through that guide and it didnt really help,, Please help

If you go into gmc (Gnome Midnight Commander) you can drag shortcuts from a window onto the desktop.
