How do I unrestrict the internet from my system

Hey I work for a pharmacy company and we use hand scanners that have a built in Windows ce. The IT guys somehow blocked off the internet, any ideas as to what I can do to get back on?

I remember the IT guy saying he could shut it off at the switch. I doubt that for some reason though. If that were to happen I wouldn't be able to acess our program. I believe thats right anyway, any help would be greatly apprechiated.

I am an IT guy and I was wondering how he did it as well

At the same time is there a way of applying some kind of group policy to handheld devices? The devices we use all get plugged into a cradle with and RJ45 connection but all then configuration is done manually.
