How do I turn off broadcasts?

Hi, is there a way broadcasts can be turned off on our Win2k clients?

Do you mean 'net send' messages? If so, just stop the messenger service (and set it to manual or disabled, not automatic start).

Do you mean name (netbios) broadcasts?
Sort of, mostly you want to reduce ACKs.

The easiest way is to use TCP/IP, Properties, Advanced, WINS tab, and uncheck 'enable netbios over TCP/IP'
