How do I share new alerters between reports

Hi,
I've got a new report in which I created an alerter that would also be useful in another already existing report. I've added the alerter to my template but it is still not accessable to that existing report. Is there a way to have a pre-existing report recognize an alerter that was created after the report was created?

No. You have to build the alert in the old report.
