Hi

My network runs Outlook which is on Exchange 2000. How do I set up web mail access in Outlook so I can log on and check my email account using a dial-up connection on a laptop? And do I have to change anything in Exchange? I am not familiar with Exchange so any steps/procedures will be greatly appreciated. The network runs on Small Business Server and Windows 2000.

Thank you for any help.

Couple things come in to play here. First off you will need to set up pop3 services on your exchange server.
You will also need to open port 110 in your firewall and make sure you set up your firewall to send port 110 traffic to your exchange server.
Here are a couple links that might help
Hope this helps a little

Outlook is not using Web access.

You could connect using VPN, IMAP or OWA, all 3 all a whole lot safer then POP3.
