Hey people..

I'm new to 2003...

Why would you want to have multiple IPs to a single nic?

Thanks

jlez...you would want multiple IP's on a nic in case you use NAT and you have more than one public IP address.

Also on internal networks multiple IP's can have advantage when you're busy migrating from one subnet to another.

And there's probably more reasons, can't think of any more at this moment.

i just thought of another one:

in some circumstances, one would want multiple IP's on one nic, in case there are two different subnets in one segment of a network(that is a piece of network between routers, not including a switch)
