Hi,

I have only been working with exchange for a few months and need to know if there is a setting to send unknown email aliases to a specified mailbox i.e administrator.

i.e misspelt@domain.com goes to administrators mailbox

We currently fetch our mail from a pop box using software which will forward any unknown mail to the administrators mailbox, but will shortly be having a static IP address and will no longer be using a pop box. I will therefore need to set this option in exchange instead.

Thanks in advance

You can turn on notifications in the Exchange Admin and point it to the box that you want. You can also select which notifications you would like such as mispelled emails.

Exchange Admin, Connections, Internet Mail Service, Internet Mail.

Devastator,

Thanks for the info

I found the settings, will this also send the incoming mail to the administrators mailbox as well as just a notification then?

Thanks again

It will send the entire email so you can forward it on if need be.
