After I reinstalled Windows xp pro I realized that I forgot to export my mail messages and my address book
Where do I find those?
I installed a fresh copy of win xp after I copied the folder Documents and Settings to another drive. So my mail messages and address book should be there but i do not know which files.

Could you plese help me?

Thank you

your mail and contacts should be in a pst file in c:\documents and settings\%USERNAME%\application data\microsoft\outlook or c:\documents and settings\%USERNAME%\local settings\application data\microsoft\outlook (sorry cant remember of the top of my head which one) remeber to enable hidden files before you attempt this by ...

Open explorer - Tools - Folder Options - View - Highlight the radio for show hidden files and folders.

Hope this helps you out.

Glen

C:\Documents and Settings\user_profile\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

look esp for *.pst

R.

I retrive the old mail messages but how do I enable the address book? I have a message that tells me "The address list could not be displayed. The contact folder associated with this address could not be opened. It may have been moved or deleted.....". and also I am interested how do I enable the autocomplete when I insert the address I want to send a message to.

Thanks

Copy individual names stored in a Personal Folders file (.pst) into my Contacts folder

My contacts don't appear in the Address Book

Troubleshoot the Address Book
