The Start Menu "Run" box should retain a list of the various commands previously entered to save one the effort of typing the command repeatedly. Mine does not, it erases the list on each logoff. Can someone please tell what registry setting will enable saving the list?

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU

Have you any security type programs (or batch files, scripts, etc.)that are clearing the above location at logon or logoff?

I finally found the solution. I look for an answer for what seems to be a very long time and then finally relent and ask for help. As Murphy's law dictates, I then stumble upon the answer only after asking for assistance. I found the problem and the solution with Tweakui. Under the General tab, there is an entry titled, "clear document history on exit". The box had been checked, no doubt by me as I am this computer's only user. I unchecked the box and the problem is no more.

Thank's for your attempt to help linney, I appreciate your efforts.
