I have several switches that were pointed at a type of NMS system as the host for snmp traps and infroms. That system has been removed and I am now starting an install of JFFNMS. Can anyone tell me what the command is to remove an old snmp host, so the switch does not continue to broadcast to the old IP?

I have tried to remove it from the running and start configuration but this does not change anything. Have disabled snmp and then re-enabled snmp and it is still in the configuration files.

Thanks

If you are talking IOS switches then it is simply , conf t , no <snmp string > . If this isn't working then your syntax is not correct . Write mem ,after changing and then copy to your tftp server . If you are still having problems post your config minus any addresses and we can look .
