This is bugging me for sometime. Pls help me to understand this. We've different trunk groups of which trunk grp. 3 is the only one which passes thru ARS analysis others dont'. Now my question is we've ars analysis access code 1: 9 , and I couldn't figure out how trk. grp. 3 is selected when we press 9. Where is this setting? Say I want to change the ars access code to point to tru group 10, how do I do that?

One more thing, I want to have one more dial access code as 8. I change the dial plan and the sys fea. How do I make this point to specific trunk group. Help pls.

Eric.

The trunk routing is actually in your route pattern. do a "list route-pattern" and see how many you have. Then you can associate the dialed number to the route pattern.

Yep.. there are 3 route-patterns 2,3 & 4 all pointing to trk. group 3.

I was thinking... if I could forward certain calls say calls to exchg 239- to a particular trunk group. Something like dynamic routing. Right now all ARS digits pass goes thru trk. grp 3 how do I divert calls to some destination thru different trk. group.

someone help pls.

If you do "list ars analysis", it will show you which route pattern is used for specific digits. To change this table, you would do the command, "change ars analysis xx" depending on what digits you want to change. For example, if I wanted to change the route pattern for dial string 123xxxxxxxx, then I would type, "change ars analysis 123". Basically, when you dial 9 you get pointed to the ARS Analysis table.

I have a bit of an explaination of the process at which may help you understand the porcess. As far as dial 8 is concerned, you need to define it in sys par features & then use the AAR analysis to define your strings.
