Hi all, how do I lock down IE settings?

Andy

If you want to prevent spyware from changing your settings, and to a minor extent, make it harder for people to, then get spybot Search & Destroy from and innoculate your computer.. I would then go so far as to remove the shortcut for IE from your desktop (Leave it in quick launch) and that should make it nearly impossible to change any settings..

I would suggest, however, that you do this for all accounts except the Administrator or other "Power Users" accounts (leave the shortcut on the desktop on those) or you won't be able to change anything in IE without undoing the setting in Spybot.

Furthermore, I would remove the links to Spybot from the desktop, quicklaunch, and programs menu in all users except the Administrator and "Power Users" accounts.. That way the restricted users can't undo the spybot and make changes.
Patrick.

Thanks, also where can I forced the users home page in IE through group policy in AD I can't find the option anywhere!
