Hi!

From within access I'd like to use SQL to import all the records from a .csv file to a new table.

I'd really appreciate any directions or suggestions.

Thanks in advance,
Paolo.

This isn't really the proper forum for this question; but why not use the existing import feature? If you need it to be automatic, then set up a macro.

If you must use VBA, then you'll need to cross reference this in that forum. You'll basically use StreamReader to open the .csv file then loop through it using an insert statement into the database.

This is the VB5&6 forum. I suggest forum705 Access Modules (VBA Coding) as a better place to ask.

Thank you both I'll try over there.

Kind Regards,
Paolo

If you want to use ADO you can try strongm's solution in the following thread:
