I have a web page with lots of layers on it.

I have set a behaviour that on load, elements I don't want seen are hidden - this works apart from there is an initial flash of all the items I don't want for a few seconds. How do I correct this?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Lotti

If i where to guess, id say, instead of changing their display on the onload event. Just set it to hidden before hand, and change it to visible when you need to. That is from the CSS style sheet set display:none;

That way they won't flicker, as they wont be showing to begin with.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Could you tell me the syntax to do this in css?

Thanks

I found a solution - incase anyone else hits the same problem.

If you click on the layers you don't want shown in the layers panel, then select vis:hidden in the properties pallet, it wont appear.

Thanks
