In IE5+ there is a property called pixelWidth which I can use to find out the width of text entered in a <td> tag and dynamically resize the table with that information. I need to accomplish the same thing in Netscape 6+, but unfortunately, there is no &quot;pixelWidth&quot; in the Netscape DOM. Does anyone know of a work around for this? is there a property in the Netscape DOM that does this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

chmohan,
thanks for the response. I looked at the articles which were helpful in general. Unfortunately for this specific project, i still had problems getting the results I wanted. In the end we decided to abandone our approach, do some re-designing, and recoded the whole menu. It turns out that even if we had gotten it to work, we would have still run into some problems with Netscape 6.2, where for some reason we couldn't position the navigation bar. With the time constraints, it seemed a better idea to redesign the menu. Thanks.
