I am looking after a small network of 5 PC's all using Office 2000. I want all client's .pst files to live on the main computer for backup purposes. How do I map them individually to the single computer?
All their "My Documents" folders are already mapped to a single folder.
Any help appreciated.......

Goto Control Panel -> Mail
Double Click on 'Personal Folders'
Take note of the path where the PST is located.
Ensure that Outlook is closed and move the file to your back up server.
Go back to Control Panel -> Mail
Remove 'Personal Folders'
Click on 'Add'
Select 'Personal Folders'
Browse to the backup server
Select the appropriate PST File.

Hi notenough...
thanks for that reply. It seems so simple but I'd never had guessed it.
Will try it and post back.
Cheers.......

That may sound simple, and it is, but it is a VERY bad idea!
If the PST's are to be accessed over the LAN, it will put high traffic on that, and performance will go down.

You are far better of using a small .bat file on startup that copies the PST to a central location.

HI Marc,
With the .bat file, what is the switch to automatically replace the existing PST file?
The clients are Win98 while main is XP
Cheers........

@xcopy *.PST /i/d/f/h/r/k/s/e/v/y R:\Backup

or whatever path you use.
