Hello,
I have configured my Def. Sys. 3Gsi in the system parameter feature to be able to support music. Now where do or how do I go about to get the music from or do they have some built in hold music somewhere. In other words I need to somehow get some music to go on but dont know where to get it. My system is now configured for it but just lost on this part. Please help... : )
Thanks in advance....

Do you have a music or audio source? (ie: cd-player). Then you can wire the speaker output of that to an auxillary port off your PBX, if no aux port is available, you can wire to a single analog port and enter that port in your customer parameters features screen. Then in the COR screen of your general user community, turn on MUSIC ON HOLD = YES. Hope this helps...

Can you explain a little bit more when you say wire it to a single analog port or aux port. Are you referring to the acutal wire on the speakers to the board where there is a live port on the wall where the switch is. Sorry to ask so much question but this is kinda new to me... Thanks for all the help.

From your CD/audio source player-take a speaker cable out, split the pairs +/- and run that lead to your MDF (Main Distribution Feed) of your PBX where your line cards from your PBX terminate. Find a spare analog port (li conf sta) on your command line to find port. With your punch down tool, punch the the pairs down on the frame. (And then with a "butt" set (if you have one) tap onto line and confirm audio). Then you can program the software in the PBX. Hope this helps...
