I am to monitor 2 servers using servers alive. but to monitor things like CPU, HDD and memory I need to find the OID numbers relating to these componants.

Is this the same as GUID in win 2k?

and where can i find them?

Hello and Happy Holiday

The OID and the counters and instances in shown via the Administrative Tools are not the same. I do not think MS runs an SNMP Mgr/Agent to populate this data.

You will need the MS W2K MIBS and have an agent on the servers.

A quick search via google.com for "SNMP and Windows 2000" returned the address: that looks to have a list of the MIBs you may need. If nothing else you can deduce the OID strings needed for the bits of data you want to retrive from the various MIBs listed.
