I need to find the fully-qualified share name of a networked printer (i.e., of the form "\\server\printer").

The reason is that I need to capture the printer for a DOS program using the "net use" command.

In addition, for a printer which has been installed using only an IP address, how do I create a share name alias for the printer?

Thanks.

For a print server, it's dependant on the device and what they're labels are. Typically it works like \\192.168.1.75\lpt1\.
