I'm a novice user using DSA I need to setup DID 3340 to extension 301

Are u saying that u want calls to 3340 to go to 301?
If the central office is sending the digits 3340 u can change the digits to 301 in the incoming trunk form.

Change trunk xx ie the trunk group where the number is being delieverd to. Depending on what version software you are using go to the page which looks like this:
INCOMING CALL HANDLING TREATMENT
Service/ Called Called Del Insert Per Call Night
Feature Len Number CPN/BN Serv

Public-n 4 3340 4 301 none

I have given you an example of what your translation should look like.
