We have just begun tinkering with VMWare. We have 2 servers running ESX 3.5

We put up some test VMs and then deleted them, but I notice the snapshots are still there. Our disk space is getting low and I tried to delete the snapshots, but it gives an error. How to I get rid of snapshots I don't want?

Using the VI client you should be able to browse to the Data Store and delete them from there.

The real world is not about exam scores, it's about ability.

I tried that.

It says "Cannot delete file snapshot/hourly.0/VM" (where VM is the name of the virtual snapshot you try to delete)

some of the data stores are, yes.

so deletion is different if they are on the Netapp? Do I have to go into the Netapp to delete those or what?
