I recently formated my PC... and I installed Windows XP Pro It deleted alot of my documents ... but some of them are still there.. except for all my programs.. i had to re install... I used to have Two accounts on my Operative System... I had mine.. and my brother's witch i created both as administrators... but mine was the primary account. Now when I Explore all Users there is still a folder of my brother... but i canot delete it.... it says that access is denied... how do i delete all his folders and profiles? actually.... there is still a folder with my account... which i used with another name... ? any help?

REMOVAL OF AN "ACCESS IS DENIED" DIRECTORY:
You need administrator rights to complete this!
If you have only one user account in your xp, you should automatically be a member of the administrators group. If you are not the only user and not a member of the admin group, you have to log in as a user who has administrator privileges.

(You might at some point get a message saying something like "you cannot change security options for this folder, but you can change auditing setting", just press ok to that.)

Disable simple file sharing to gain access to the security tab (in windows explorer from the "tools" menu go to "folder options"->"view"->"use simple file sharing" and remove the tag from the box).
After that, right click the folder you want to remove and select properties and go to the security tab. Click advanced and go to "owner"-tab. You should now see your username in the list. Select your username and check the box "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" then click apply.
Now you should have full control of the folder and its subdirectories and files, so you should also by all means be capable to delete the folder :)
