I have a RAID 5 Array setup. I would like to put SQL Server on another machine and have my Database reside on the RAID unit.
How do I connect the SQL Server to the database over the network?

Database files must be installed on a local drive.

Is the RAID array connected to your machine? If it is the RAID drives should appear as ordinary drives on the serve - just install the files to the RAID drives.

I have seen this setup in most SQL Server setups I have worked on

Cal

Available for weddings, funerals and childrens parties.
