how do I close ports

Hello,

I run NT 4.0 SP6 and MS Proxy 2. I have used all defaults during setup and everything is running fine. However I have been told that because the college has a 24 - 7 Direct internet connection I should close all ports and only open the main ones.

Could somebody please tell me how to do this?
What ports do I need other than 80?
How do I close them?
