How do I change software version on a cics

How do I change software version on a cics,example I have 7.1 restricted and need to go to 7.0 non restriced

You can never go backwards. If you plug the 7.0 in the system will default and you will loose all programing.

7.0 and 7.1 were pretty much the same except for the updated DST schedule. If you're lucky your system might not default. But like Wayne said, when you downgrade software level the system will usually default.

If you are downgrading the system,from 7.1 to 7.0 Pick a time when you have enough time to reprogram the whole system.
If you are not comfortable reprogramming the whole thing from scratch, buy a 7.1 non restricted s/w card, and just power it down, unplug the 7.1 restricted s/w, plug in the non restricted 7.1 s/w and power it up. It should do the upgrade in a few minutes.
Make sure the new s/w release date is the same or newer than the old one just to be safe.

re-programming should not take long, you can always program a telephone set and if they others reflect that set, copy set to a range of sets
