part 1.
Is there a way of amending users locally cached profiles (or disabling the use of them)
One of the IT guys made a bit of a mistake - (it wasn't me honest) which has resulted in locally cached profiles giving users all start menu items. (instead of limited ones)
the profiles stored on the servers (pdc+bdc) are now fine, however they still get more programs showing than they should.
We have tried creating a batch file to delete the unwanted profiles, but this seems to go haywire - any ideas?
part 2.
I recently created a shortcut for somebodies desktop, which i placed in their profile. The icon shows on their desktop, the shortcut reads C:\Prisma\Prisma\Prisma.exe. which is the correct path on his local machine. However, when he runs it, it asks for a password to my machine!! I know it's because that's where i set up the icon - but why is it doing it ? I've solved the problem by setting it up on his pc, but this is a pain when they are remote users...any ideas from the genius amongst you??
