How do I allow downloads from my web page.

I want to allow people to download a demo program from my web page. Is there any to do this using only HTML instructions. If not, please recommend something user friendly for a novice.

Do you want people to click on a link and have it download an .exe file. If so , then just link to the .exe file.

Ex:

http://www.site.com/file.exe
