How do I add a subinterface to a VLAN on c805 running 12.3(16)?

Hi All,
Is this possible with the C805?

from enable mode I type:
config t
int e0.1
ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.0

and get this response:
% Configuring IP routing on a LAN subinterface is only allowed if that subinterface is already configured as part of an IEEE 802.10, IEEE 802.1Q, or ISL vLAN.

Fine. I expected that. But for the life of me I can't find the command to add the subinterface to the VLAN. On a c1700 or c1800 series I'd use this command:

encapsulation dot1q 1 native

And then I'd assign the IP address...but apparently that command isn't supported on the 805.

So, is there any way to do this?

Thanks
Roland

VLAN tagging isn't available on the 805. You need at least a FastEthernet interface for 802.1q trunking.

Thanks. Now I can stop beating my head against the wall.
