Hi,

I want to use some old dos games, but the sounds from the internal PC speaker are so bad that I want to turn them off
Where can I found a solution to realise that ?
Are some freewares (???) existing to help me (for example to avoid access to speaker or something like this)?

Thanks in advance

You can just disconnect it.
But make sure to turn the computer off before doing that.

Thanks, but the speaker is integrated on the motherboard (Buzzer type) and it's impossible to disconnect by this way
It's the reason why I think about a software solution...

Can it be disabled in BIOS?

I know a lot of old dos games have a setup program to configure the video and the sound before you run the game. You can select (for example) sound blaster pro, pc speaker or no sound. Select no sound and that should do it. If no options of this type exist, then maybe you could place a small piece of duct tape over the hole on top of the buzzer. This should cut the sound from it down to almost nothing.
