how can we work with Provider mode in EQGrid?

hi
I am Working with Express Quantum Grid4.
I have tried Bound and UnBound modes of the Express Quantum Grid. But the features of the provider mode are more appealing. I am finding difficulties in working in Provider mode. Kindly help me in the following Areas.
1.Creating a CustomDataSource, accesing data from it.
2.checking the edit values of the column. ie when edited how can we check whether the right value is eneterd.

Kindly Help me out.
