How can we open the Transformer in Unix environment?
Can we open it as a gui like we do in Windows? If not, how can I create a new model using the Transformer in Unix?

Yes. It used to from the command line; not seen a GUI version.
Go onto the Cognos (ibm) website and download the documentation for Transformer on Unix for your version of Transformer - pp_trns_unx.pdf is one.
