how can we assign voice mail box dn to contro; set dn 2

i was asked to add a voice mail box for dn 21


I added the Voice mail box, but could not assign ext 21 to voice mail box number 21
It said (in French) ext not assigned

dn 21 is the control set for line 2 and line 3
Dn 30 is the control set for line 1 and 4

When dialing Dn 21 from inside upon no answer (general delivery) Dn 10 answer the call
When dialing the main number from out side, ring no answer then we get the CO recording saying that the person you are calling has a voice mail box that has not been created?

How can we assign voice mail box 21 to ext 21

Control Set is used for service modes.

Usualy the general mailbox (MB 10)is behind the reception set...which is usualy 21.
You would need to go to F983 and CHG mailbox 10, remove the 21.
Now you can go to MB 21 and add EXT: 21

Note you can also change the name of the General Mailbox to the receptionists name if they are ok to share it....this way they will be in the directory also.

Be sure to assign the GD mailbox 10 to another extension or the GD mailbox will fill up with messages and affect the storage time of the entire system.
