Hi,

I want a user to use the from in Outlook to send as a different user.

I've done it before. I tought is was to go to a user in AD U & C. Go to properties, exchange advanced, mailbox rights and give the user fulll mailbox access.

Still the user gets the you do not have the permission error.

I did this last week so it cant be because it takes time.

I've already restarted all DC and the ex2k3 sp2 exchange server.

What am I missing?

Did you enable the "From" field in the users Outlook and have them change to the other account there?

I'm Certifiable, not cert-ified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

Is it permission to the mailbox denied or just for sending. You can go into Exchange General and Delivery Options and give Send on Behalf permissions. That will list both the mailbox owner and the senders name. Other than that what you have already done should enable the person access the other mailbox. I have a few users setup that way.

The user can access te mailbox by adding it in Outlook.

She can't use it to send mail as info, then the you don't have permission error comes.

The thing is I've done it with two users before and they can send with info in the from without the error.

Wile666 if you use the send on behalf then the receiver still sees the original users email address. When using it as I want you don't
