How can I stop squashing words? OF2k

word - Office 2000 on w2k pc.

The problem is in any document the user is working on - When adding spaces to a line the other words in that line will squash-up rather than move down to the next line. Is there a way of stopping the squashing?

put the cursor in the cell, click Format / Cells and in the Alighnment tab, turnoff "shrink to fit"

This isn't for typing in cells, just typing regularly as in any letter on default A4 page.

Try turning off full justification - use only left justification.
