Hi - I'll be away from home for the next few days. I have a dial-up account with my ISP. my email is hosted on my ISP's mail server.

What will I have to do to be able to check my email on my father's PC ?

Thanks, John

You may want to contact your ISP and check with them. I know that my ISP has a website that I can got to and enter my email address and password and I will connect to my email. A copy remains in the server.

For every problem there is a solution, for every solution there is a tech behind it.

if you want just to check, you could create an eamial account on any machine, using oultook express (or equivelant) , basically, all you need is, user name password, and pop3 account,

If you want to send email ,its a different issue, depending where you are but at leat you could check your emails ,, you don't even need to check your isp

or use an online service like Hotmail and you can have hotmail retrieve the mail for you. Yo ucan also tell hotmail to leave the mail on the isp server instead of deleting it when retrieving.

You can also check your mails on the site - all you need for it are you e-mail address (or it's shorter version - if you know it) and your password. It will leave your mails on the server and later when you'll be at home you will be still able to download your messages with your own Outlook from your PC.

I agree with zxmax. I usual just set up a new pop/smtp email account wherever I am working, using outlook/outlook express. This was certainly successful when using both Tiscali and BTinternet mail.

Loads of instructions on how all over the net if your unsure on the prcedure.

For example try...

I agree with Herbata - mail2web is the way to go.

thanks everyone,

I tried mail2web.com - it's great and easy to use too.
