>>How Can I put all backup index on one unique pool.<<

I have a 8 storage node in 8 country .
Each country is in a différente pool .

My Networker SERVER is IN PARIS (france)

On my Paris networker server , I get a virtual ROBOT ,
and when I make a backup on each town , started by PARIS,
I must have a tape in PARIS for each POOL COUNTRY.

So to simplify the situation, I would like to have a unique(only) pool containing all the indexes of all the pools

You potentially can do that, but this is worst practice.

The indexes are server-specific data sets - for DR preparation, they should be available at the server. You need a backup device here anyway.

There is nothing bad with using a index pool. I think 605 might have misunderstod your question. Indexes are almost always, or at least should be, local to the backup server. If you set up an index pool to save all the indexes on the backup server, I can't see any problem with that. There are many companies doing that.

What you need to do is to create an Index pool (perhaps named Index) and the only selection for the pool should be the save set name. Under Save Sets, add:
Index

You can also add Bootstrap if you want all your bootstrap backups to go to the same pool. Next backup and all Indexes will go to your newly created pool.

Ok It's Magic .[tongue]
The index backup is made on Networker server .
ALL index are on the same tape

I thank you a lot, , RIF123 [medal] and all the others for this answer and also for the quality of the site [thumbsup2]

Hello,

or you can put an occurrence of all your client in a specific group, and launch it by a cron command :

savegrp -O -l full -G group_name

So, you'll have full indexes and bootstrap on the same tape (if you put only one tape in the silo, planning to export the tap, for security)
