How can I look for snippets in places other than the default location?

Hi there all,

Dreamweaver MX seems to store its snippets in a default location, i.e. when you open your snippets panel, you can only see the snippets in your default location.

Is there anyway you can search for snippets in other locations, from within this panel? For example, if Developer A wants to keep his snippets separate
from Developer B, but both want to be able to access each other's as and when required.

Any suggestions on how this can be done?

Thanks in advance.

The multiple developers have different personal computers, most using Windows 2000 or XP.

They would need access to a central network location of snippets, but we also want them to be able to browse to their own snippets in a separate location.

Thanks

Here is how snippets are stored in Multiuser environment such as Windows 2000/XP.

1. Browse to C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\Snippets and you will see the snippets that come packed with Macromedia. This is the shared folder. Read how to use a network folder as shared folder

2. Browse to C:\Documents and Settings\YOURLOGIN\Application Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\Snippets and you will see snippets specific to your login.

So common snippets will have to be transfered to your shared folder which is on your network
