Hello All,

I am using Microsoft Office 97, and whenever I log on to the desktop, the office shortcut toolbar opens up on the right side of the screen, sometimes I see double bars side by side. How can i get rid of this? Operating system is winxp pro with sp2.

Thanks in advance.

hello there...
It has been a long time since I used Office 97 so I don't remember how I used to turn mine off...unless you can alternate-click it with the mouse and turn it off that way...
But you should be able to delete it from the
start up options so that it doesn't start every time windows does!
Thanks
Boni

You can permanently nuke it, if you like, by using your Office install CD. Select Add/Remove, then Office Tools > Change Option > uncheck Microsoft Office Toolbar (I also kill off the Office Assistant - out of spite) and then hit OK. The disk will remove these items.
