How can I get Excel Xp out of memory?

Hi,
Please help.
While importing an Excel spreadsheet to Access, I am using:
xlapp.workbooks close
xlapp.quit
set xlapp = nothing.
Yet Excel stays in memory.
I attempted to use xlapp.workbooks close (false), but received an error message.

Please assist.

You might want to try posting this in the VBA Visual Basic for Applications (Microsoft)..

Does excel.exe still show up in task manager as a process? If not, then Excel may not be the culprit. Maybe Access is?
